Lake Minnewanka engagement photos – a dreamy afternoon
Oh, man. I don’t know where to start. Meeting people like Shelbi + Richard reminds me of why I love being a wedding photographer, and shooting these engagement photos at Lake Minnewanka in Banff was such a dream. S + R traveled to Banff for a few days and got their engagement photos done on their trip! Shooting these for them was such an honor for me. They were the most genuine, kind, loving people and we got along so well, we’re besties now haha. We explored Lake Minnewanka for their photos, hiked up Johnston Canyon Waterfalls and pulled up on the side of a gorgeous road, and shot there. It was the best day and man I love these two so much! Alsooooo Shelbi is BEAUTIFUL and her hair is my favorite thing ever.
Photographing in Banff is always so much fun because there are incredible views and scenery all around you. Literally, anywhere you drive will be gorgeous. Shooting at Lake Minnewanka, Banff is one of my favorite spots because it’s never really super crowded and you’re able to take photos without having to photoshop people out of all your images. It’s really easy to get close to the Lake and there are really pretty rocks by the shore! You can also go canoeing at Lake Minnewanka, which I think is a really great facility for visitors. Also, look at how BLUE that water is?! So crazy.
I love all my couples so much and I’m so thankful I get to serve them and give them photos they are going to cherish forever. This was such a fun day and I can’t wait for my next shoot in Banff! Love you guys so much, Shelbi + Richard!
