Where do I even start with this Lake Louise winter Wedding in Banff?! Nick and Kayla were the sweetest people and flew all the way from Australia to elope in Banff and plan their Lake Louise elopement. We met at Baker Creek Mountain Lodge (which by the way is a perfect location/place to stay if you’re eloping or getting married in the Banff area or near one of the lakes in Banff) to start their adventures on their winter elopement day. Kayla and Nick stayed at the Lodge for a few nights before and after their elopement day and it was so cozy. It had all the cute cabin vibes. You’ll see in the pictures below 🙂

We met at the lodge at sunrise. I took getting-ready photos and candids while they hung out and enjoyed the start of their day. Kayla got into her wedding dress (she looked stunning!!!) and then I found a cute spot near the cabin to do their first look at. It was a quiet chilly morning and they were just so in love and ready to get married!

The ceremony:

Then we headed to their ceremony location! Plan A didn’t quite work because of the weather conditions… BUT we had a plan B, and it was beautiful! They got their wish of being married in the snow haha. The officiant read out letters their family had sent with them from Australia and it was all just so quiet, perfect, and intentional. After the ceremony, we stopped and shot some couple photos at Lake Louise and then grabbed some brunch in Banff. We ate at Tooloulou’s Restaurant and it was delicious – so many options and their portions were huge!

We ended our time together shooting some more couple portraits at a beautiful lake (at one of my favorite spots) and it was so much fun. Very very windy, but SO much fun. Stephen and I made sure we brought crampons for Kayla and Nick because we were so sure there was going to be slippery snow/ice in the area and didn’t expect them to bring any (or even think of them) from Australia.

What an amazing day with these two amazing souls!! We laughed our heads off together, cried together (their ceremony was SO sweet!), ate the yummies brunch, and adventured around Banff for their wedding photos! We love you, Kayla & Nick, and loved photographing your Lake Louise Wedding!
