A romantic, intimate Jasper wedding with friends and family
Maya & Graden had the most precious, unique, amazing wedding day in Jasper in the Canadian Rockies! They planned their day to be an intentional, beautiful, intimate gathering with their closest friends and family in the mountains. They spent the morning getting ready at separate locations in Jasper and then headed to the mountains to see each other for the first time. We found a spot by a lake and gave them some privacy to have their first look and share some personal letters/vows with each other. *Cue the tears*.
First looks are always some of my absolute favorite moments of the day to capture and be a part of. Not just because finally seeing each other is so exciting, emotional, and full of anticipation for the couple, but because it’s usually one of the only times that you get to spend intentional quality time together with your significant other. Time on your wedding day is so incredibly important. They picked the most stunning, private spot for their first look and everything about their first look was beautiful.
After their first look, Maya and Graden along with their wedding party headed up a trail. They got their “group/bridal” photos done by the first lookout spot. The bridal party then headed back down and went to grab some breakfast while Maya and Graden (and us + their pup) continued and finished the rest of the hike together. The sun was shining on them through the trees we were walking by. It was a beautiful warm morning and exactly how they wanted to spend the morning of their wedding day.
The rest of their day was spent with their closest friends and family. They had a beautiful ceremony with mountains in the background at the Athabasca Day Use area, followed by a reception in the forest with drinks and food! They also had some speeches from their closest people. We ended our time together by sneaking away from the reception celebrations and capturing golden hour in the mountains. Doesn’t golden hour look good on them?!
